General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi . I want to know your age , weight and whether you are obese or not. As you said your cardiac workup is normal and you get attacks only in night you might be suffering from sleep apnoea syndrome.
It occurs commonly in obese persons and presents with attacks of hypoxia in the night leads to sleeplessness in the night and drowsy feeling at day.
I will advice you to do sleep study.
Regards ..
