General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Would you clarify a few things for me please?

*how old is your mother?
*what is her height and weight?
*does she have any prior medical illness or take any medications?
*when did the pain start and is it getting worse?
Is it constant or Intermittent? How would she describe the pain?
*any other symptoms like breathing difficulty, giddiness, sweating? Numbness or tingling on both arms or fingers?
*is it triggered by any specific event like sudden change in position or cooking or lifting head or arms up?

Not all conditions show up in the ECG. Problems with the aorta can cause similar pain and not show up on the ECG as does a transient spasm of the coronary artery (that supply the heart)

Nerve impingement and spinal spondylosis can also cause similar symptoms

I recommend :
- a cardiologist and neurologist consult
-a stress test it possible
-CT of the chest and angiography of the heart vessels
-x-rays of the neck and chest
-blood tests (complete blood count, cardiac enzymes, lipid profile)

Based on this a treatment plan or further investigation will be considered.
Please get this checked in detail. If all is negative, anxiety disorder must be considered.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you both good health
