General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. I have gone through your question. Bronchitis is the infection of the lungs. You can develop it at any stage of life.It is probably bronchitis that you have developed. Phlegm is formed as a result of infection. I would suggest to start with appropriate antibiotics like amoxicillin and clavulanic acid 500/125 mg twice a day. Bronchodilator syrup which contains terbutaline and ambroxol twice a day and steam inhalation twice a day for 5 days. Avoid smoking as well. I hope this helps. Thanks and regards.
