Can Costochondritis cause chest pain while swallowing and breathing deep breaths? I lifted my 45 pound nephew yesterday, and about an hour later, I have this pain in my chest area. I am better at breathing deep, but the swallowing of food still causes pain. I am also having pain in my back from sitting a lot while visiting my dad in the hospital. I am 32 and healthy (as far as I know). I am not experiencing any trouble breathing, just feeling pain between my breasts.
