Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I used a q-tip to dry my ear last night. I felt no pain or discomfort but later in the evening I noticed my ear hurt whenever I burped. Today it doesn t hurt but just feels funny. I show no signs of a perforated eardrum (no discharge, no pain, no dizziness). Will this just go away?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain in ear while burping which could be due to ear infection. It could be due to accumulation of ear wax, foreign body penetration in ear, Eustachian tube dysfunction and it could be due to sinusitis.Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures. You should avoid touching or pricking it with any sharp object. Maintain proper hygiene. Take proper rest. Put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. If symptoms keeps on persisting you should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Get all the lab tests done for proper examination. Try to avoid excessive use of mobile as it will put more pressure. You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin you are not allergic to it along with Ibuprofen and Loratadine.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
