What Causes Pain In Earlobe And Throat?

I have heart disease. I have been experiencing a pain in my left earlobe and throat. Sometimes my throat feels like it is closing over and I can t breathe thru my mouth properly - causing me to cough. Also, I have a ticking in my left ear when I exercise especially in fast walking.
