What Causes Pain In Elbow In Case Of An Infection?

Hi, I have been taking cephalexin for an elbow infection since December 16th (I had a 10 day prescription which was refilled for 5 more days). The antibiotics will be finished tomorrow. My elbow is no longer red or inflamed looking, but it does hurt a lot if I happen to bump it (eg lightly brushing a wall). Is it a good idea to stop taking the antibiotics and just see what happens? If the infection is still there, could it come back quickly or be dangerous? Would it be a good idea to go to a walk-in clinic again. We have a three-month old baby that is breastfed, so waiting at clinics etc can be difficult.
Thanks!
