What Causes Pain In Feet And Tiredness After Travelling?

Hi there,I am 52 and recently noticed that my feet really hurt after sitting in the car for even an hour at a time, and I can hardly walk when I get out of the car, but after I get moving I am fine again. The bones or muscles all seem to ache throughout the day to a lesser degree. It isn t overly warm weather either here, and I do take supplements, and wonder if that could cause it. I don t wear tight fitting shoes, I wear a wide KEEN brand of shoe. I have had neuroma pain in one foot in the past, but that hasn t bothered me in a long time.

Hello,

Pain in feet while sitting in car for an hours time can be due to swelling of feet. Swelling of feet can be due to high blood pressure. High blood pressure can lead to accumulation of fluid in feet, swelling and thus pain. I suggest you to get your blood pressure checked.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
