Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing pain in my left upper posterior femur for about 5 months. I have had no injury to the area. It is a dull achy pain that doesn t get better or worse with any activity. However it is usually worse at night. I had a pet scan performed and the results were negative however they re were hotspot on both of my femurs that had suv levels of 2.53 on my left femur and 2.92 on my right femur. Are those normal ranges?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, what the pet scan findings are given here and the pain condition that you have are not correlating so it is nothing to worry as long as the pain is concern and it may be due to some nonspecific reasons but not the obvious pathology hope this information helps.
