What Causes Pain In Finger And Sore Elbow?

I am having tearing/ripping pain in my left hand at the base of the little finger. At weird times, for example, if my finger/hand gets bent even with a bit of pressure from drying my hands or putting on a sweater. It makes me jump and feels like fast ripping/burning. There s a bit of numbness on the top of the finger too. I have RA and this does not feel like that kind of pain at all! My elbow is sore so may a a pinched nerve? Know one I know has felt this so thought I d check in...

Hello,

Regarding your question ,symptoms you mentioned are suggestive of neuropathic pain so I would recommend you to do NCS Nerve conduction studies and vitamin D3 levels. Meanwhile you can use topical Xylocaine gel or Capsicum gel for relief.
