Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When I spray hair spray or try to spray perfume on with index or middle finger on right side it cause great pian in my forearm and wrist. Almost renders them useless. Can you tell me what might be the problem? I also have bruising and discoloration on the under side of my wrist and up my forearm about 4 inches up the underside of forearm. It hurts and Is warm.
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Possible tendinitis or carpal tunnel syndrome. 2. Take NSAID painkillers like celecoxib or ibuprofen to reduce pain. Also application of ice will be helpful. 3. Importantly, avoiding further movements at wrist and splinting is necessary. Initially complete rest, avoid even using computers keyboard or mouse. Later on wrist exercises can be tried. Meet an orthosurgeon, as surgery maybe necessary for treatment. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
