What Causes Pain In Hand On Gripping Things?

My hands have recently been hurting after I squeeze something very hard. It feels as if it is on the top side of my hands but I went to lift weights earlier which involves a lot of squeezing and had no problems. I clenched my fist very hard to see if there was any pain and there is and it seems to lingere for around 10 minutes before going away. Im 19 years old and very confused.

Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the hand. I suggest to use anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest to o gentle stretching exercises for relieve. Cold compresses can help to relieve the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
