What Causes Pain In Hands, Wrists And Forearms Post Carpal Tunnel Surgery?

I had carpal tunnel surgery on both my wrists...one 8 months ago and the other 6 months ago.... I can no longer bend my wrists downward as I once could and I have pain in my hands, wrists, and forearms that is quite significant all the time. Achey, and the heels of my hands are very sore... Any suggestions? Thank you Karen M.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in hands, wrists and forearms post carpal tunnel surgery. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like nerve damage , soft tissue injury or infection . I would suggest you to consult your surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI or physical examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics for infection , nerve supplement for strengthening nerve or for its repair along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend physical therapy or in server cases doctor may consider re surgery .
