Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I m 62 and push carts at Walmart. I ve been doing this steady for three days. I now have a liquidy/squishy feeling in the ball of my foot, but there are no apparent signs of a blister. It is VERY painful to step on, and it feels like I m stepping in a pebble (in the middle of the ball of my foot) each time I put weight on it. What is wrong? And what can I do to stop the pain ASAP?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to plantar fasciitis. Ice pack application for 15 to 20 minutes several times a day will be helpful. Limit extended activities for heel for some days. Change your shoe to one which gives less tension (slightly raised heel and good arch support). If more pain is there then over the counter NSAIDs like Motrin (ibuprofen) can be used also. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
