General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The pain in hips and shoulders with trouble remembering names may be part of age related processes involving brain structures with muscle weakness or developing musculopathy of some sort. However, you require a detailed clinical evaluation for
- Neurological assessment
- Motor power and muscle tone, reflexes
- Sensory system work up with nerve testing and ability to sense touch, pain and temperature

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
