What Causes Pain In Hip While Passing Bowel Movement?
Hi there, I have had odd pains the last two days when going to the toilet in my right hip/side. It s almost like a dull ache. It is not a concern or painful at any other time through out my day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Jessica
The dull ache in your right hip / side while passing bowel movement could be related to passing gas (distended bowels). However, urine problems like infection or passing the stones should also rule out.
Appendicitis is also to consider especially if you start feeling that pain at night. Please consult with your caring physician, and run a few investigative tests including complete blood count, urine analysis, CRP, abdominal ultrasound to determine the right diagnosis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
