Mastoiditis may can cause swelling and pus formation it may descend to sternocleidomastoid and form abscess called Luca abscess.

if it affects the joint may lead to pain and edema while swallowing.

please consult your ENT specialist he will examine for abscess or joint arthritis and treat you accordingly.
