What Causes Pain In Joints With Swelling In Neck And Shoulders?

My great grandson was just diagnosed with fifths disease, it is in the rash stage. I am sixty seven years old and all of my joints are aching, it seems like something different everyday. My wrist and fingers swelled up and my neck and shoulders. Just curious if the two could have anything to do with each other.
