What Causes Pain In Kidney Area After Laparoscopy Kidney Surgery?

My father had a laparoscopy kidney operation few months before. For the last 2 weeks he is having pain in the kidney area. Doctor suggested to take USG KUB scan. Report says is as follows: Both kidneys appear to be normal but there is mild prominence in pelvicalyceal system on the right-hand calculus in transit/passed out calculus. I don t understand what they are trying to convey. Is there any major problem. I need your suggestions.

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

There is nothing to be worried about. Pain is because of renal calculus. I advise you to go for an X-Ray KUB. In the meantime, he can take analgesics for pain (superspass 1 tab during pain) and plenty of fluid intakes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
