hi my name is earl aragon I am 32 years old i live in belize central america . I have been having knee problems lately. Its my right leg on the right side. I would have pain only when i bend quickly or when am bending to do strenght. I am really worried about it can u help what would be causing this.If i may ask do i work yes i do a lot of yard cleaning and construction work . Maybe the leg ligament is over worked what do u think
A few probable causes of pain in knee while bending are meniscus tear, ligament sprains, bursitis or inflammation of fluid sacs in the joint, osteoarthritis due to wear and tear and over-usage of joint, patellar tendon inflammation, Baker's cyst which is a painful swelling behind the knee or any injury. Most probably yours may be meniscal tear.
To confirm it you need to see an orthopedic specialist for clinical examination and any MRI knee joint if necessary. Till you meet the specialist, take tab. Ibuprofen for 5 days. Take tab. Pantop before food for 5 days. Hot compressors can help relieve pain along with local application of some liniments. Please don't put much pressure on the knee. Drink plenty of water.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
