What Causes Pain In Labia And Fluid Discharge Inspite Of Suffering From Vaginitis?
Hi, I ve had an issue for about 6 days now. I woke up last Wednesday to a very painful and swollen lymph node on the right side of my groin. It made walking difficult. I went to a clinic where the doctor diagnosed me with vaginitis and enlarged lymph node and gave me Cipro and Azithromycin (in case it was chlamydia because I couldn t afford the testing). I also take Motrin 800 TID for the pain and headaches I ve been having daily. The swelling of the lymph node is resolving slowly, however, I now have a painful, tender area on my left labia with no bumps seen or felt. It hurts to sit and just in general. I have been having pressure pain when my bladder becomes full (even wakes me up many times at night) and expel large amounts of fluid when urinating. I m drinking water as much as I can. I also have a small swollen area on my anus that I m not sure is from itching and became infected or if it s somethin more. Any help or advice is helpful. I did have protected sex about 2 weeks ago.
Since you have developed bumps on the left side of the labia and have swollen area also near the anus, you are suggested to repeat dose of azithromycin or take a course of Doxycycline / Ceftriaxone. Since you are having bumps and lymph node enlargement in the private area, you should get STD tests done to stay on the safer side. You will be treated accordingly.
In the meantime, take care of your hygiene. Avoid sex for a couple of days. Avoid multiple partners. Warm compression and sitz bath will effectively give relieve. Take Combiflam, one SOS when required to reduce pain and discomfort. If the swelling increases you may need medical procedure of incision and drainage. Get clinically assessed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
