What Causes Pain In Left Arm When Suffering From Coronary Artery Disease?

Have been diagnosed with cad in small vessels. Have had arm ache on off for several weeks, very vague. Woke last night because of pain in left arm, took gtn twice. 9am same again, accompanied by severe chest pain. Felt unwell and exhausted the rest of the day. Every time l move the pain returns, but milder. Is it angina or indigestion. Also taking gaviscon. History of unstable angina, hypertension, gord, diabetes2, not sure what to do. My arm feels sore on the inside, this is unusual for me.

Hi,

Get ECG done and if needed echocardiography can be done and other examinations like BP, pulse, saturation, it’s good once get to the ER to rule out severity. These tests can rule out if anything is severe, as you mentioned diabetes and hypertension so life style modifications and BMI control like things can be helpful I will also suggest you to, learn deep long breathing exercises in your case. Researches shows very good effects in cases of similar history like you plus do these tests and continue medication as prescribed.
