Hi I am having not really pain but like a type of ache in NY left arm goes from my left hand fingers all up my arm to where it ends like under my arm by my ribs like the side of my ribs my heart doesn t hurt my chest doesn t hurt just my arm my.shoulder to and whenever I lay on that arm it falls asleep and whenever I put my hand down along my side starts with my fingers up my arm I ll get tingly feeling then pins and needle feelings going up my arm when I pick my arm up to a certain level it goes away when I fold my arm the way you do when you get blood work done it falls asleep to well first starts tingling with pins.and.needles feeling if I don t do nothing I believe it ll fall asleep I never let it get to that point. What can that be. I m only 40 yrs old in a week I ll be 41 I have 5 children 3 are young kids the other 2 are adults now So what can this be will I or can I die from this?
Hello As per the description of your clinical symptoms, it seems that you have the following probabilities:
1. It may be due to cervical spondylosis or PIVD causing nerve root compression, that in turn gives you the sensation of pain and often tingling. you need to do a X-RAY of the cervical spine or a MRI of the spine ( cervical) to rule out the probability. 2. Other probability is, it may be a muscle spasm of the neck causing the discomfort to you.
My advice would be consulting your treating Doctor use some oral antispasmodic and analgesic drugs. local hot fomentation and topical application of analgesic ointments , oral calcium. hope you get relief soon. Thank you.
