Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In Left Side Of Chest And Left Shoulder Blade?
I have a pain in the left side of my chest, and also on my left shoulder blade, making it hard for me to breathe. Every time I bend down to reach for something I feel a stabbing pain that takes my breath away. I have not done anything pertaining to heavy lifting, and I have used a heating pad and ice pack on the spots that hurt.
I went through your details. Without any additional symptoms like profuse sweating, radiation of pain towards forehands etc, the present pain is not related to heart ailments. Without the symptoms of heartburn and hiccups the issue is not related to acidity. Therefor, the pain has to be muscle originated/related. Stabbing pain while you bend is justification. The muscles must have bruised. Please consult a physician. You may be needing heat therapy and compresses.
