What Causes Pain In Left Side Of Neck And Shoulder?

I am having pain in my shoulder and neck on my left side I am going to go to the doctor when a appointment can be made this week but was wondering about this pain it started when I was getting up from a sitting position and pushed up with my left arm.

Hi, i do care for your concern.
your history suggest more of a muscle strain.
we would treat our patients as,
To start on a muscle relaxant, which would help a lot.
giving adequate rest, and physiotherapy would add to the help.
Following the above steps would gradually reduce the pain.
