What Causes Pain In Left Side Of Rib Cage Long After Having Hernia Surgery?
Hi I have had a hiatus hernia operation in 1996 through keyhole surgery. Since then I know the makeshift valve that they made from the tissue of the end of my oesophegus has stretched. I have been taking somac each day since then (40mg) . I am now experiencing pain under my left rib cage for about two days now. It has happened before if I miss my stomach for a few days but not as bad as today. Should I follow up on my stomach problems? Last week I did have a few days of not eating much from slight diarrhoea.thank you

I really appreciate your concern, present condition of stomachache may not be due to past history of hiatal hernia but the condition could be tested for that although it may be due to some acidic disease and in my opinion it need to be given try first and best medicine would be Tab Omeprazole 40 mg Domperidone hope this information helps.
