What Causes Pain In Left Side Of Stomach While Having Chemotherapy For Lymphoma?

I woke up with a pain in my stomach, left side, it hurts more when I breath. I can not take a deep breath, the pain is sharp. I had a dose of platelets Tuesday a.m. as I am being treated for lymphoma. I had chemotherapy two weeks ago. Is it related to my treatment? Maybe affecting my liver, or spleen? Thank you.

Hi,

It does sound like it is affecting your other organs. It is better to visit the ER as soon as possible.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
