Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The extreme pain in the leg can be due to osteoarthritis, muscle spasm or low levels of calcium or vitamin D3. Any local pathology also needs to be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
