What Causes Pain In Legs While Walking?

I have moderate pain in my legs when walking. I cannot walk with a quick pace. I can t stand on my toes or heals. I walk best when I am walking with something like a shopping cart. If I stand in one place for 15 minutes my legs go numb. As for my upper body, I have lost about 50% of my strength and my grip is must weaker in both hands but worst in my right. Can hardly open a bottle of water. All since the 13th of December. Perfectly fine on the 12th. What do you think doc?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The presence of the numbness may indicate that there is a nerve related cause for the pain though poor blood supply can cause numbness as well.

Both of these, nerve disease or poor circulation, can also result in weakness.

To determine the exact cause, you would need to be assessed by your doctor.
This would include physical examination (checking pulses and nerve function), imaging to take a look at the spine and blood tests.

The blood tests would be complete blood count, diabetes screen, vitamin b12 and folate levels, liver and kidney function tests

I hope this helps
