What Causes Pain In Lower Abdomen And Dizziness After Injury?

I recently had surgery on my hand, two days later I fell and hit my kidney on a chair, this was a week ago, and today I m in some pretty good pain in my he kidney area front and rear. Also light headed hazy vision .Is this an infection from pain meds and not enough water or are the pain meds masking a more severe kidney issue . Tiffany

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
welcome to HCM

According to given history you are suffering from blunt abdominal trauma.
In blunt abdominal trauma you may get injury over any intra abdominal organ not specifically only kidney.

you are on pain relieving medications which may have effect in suppressing your intra abdominal pain.

In such cases I usually advice to do an ultrasonography of abdomen to rule out any major injury to intra abdominal organs.

So please consult your near by emergency department for further evaluation as early as possible

Regards
