What Causes Pain In Lower Abdomen, Diarrhea And Thick White Anal Discharge?
Ive been expierencing alot of pain in my lower abdomen with diarehia ive had a fever on and off for two weeks along with a cough, headache, weakness, fatique, and now i woke up today and discovered thick white discharge from my anas. What could be causing this?
Dehydration and constipation can be important cause of mucus in stools. Presence of mucus in stool, can also be a sign of bacterial infections, anal fissures, a bowel obstruction, or Crohn’s disease. Adequate hydration, increased fibre in diet can reduce the symptoms. Liquid paraffin syrup 15 ml can be taken at night to soften stool. In case of infections, blood and mucus can occur in stools.Antibiotics should be administered to treat bacterial infections.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
