General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pain post resection of the small intestine usually las 1 or 2 weeks after the surgery. The symptoms don't seem to be related to the intervention. The pain can be related to the bloating. I suggest using Simethicone medication three times a day. I also suggest using a spasmolytic such as Buscopan to relieve the pain.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
