What Causes Pain In Lower Back And Upper Legs?

Hello! I am very worried last Sunday I had extreme pain in my lower back and upper legs so bad I lost the ability to stand up and fell to the floor. After that episode it went away until yesterday I had two episodes similir in pain to this one however the pain caused an extreme pressure in the middle of my lower belly and lower back it felt like a thousand pounds of pressure and I had the need to urinate almost to the point where I was mentally unable to hold myself from urination in my clothes. The pain also radiated to my upper legs stooping at my knee and accompanied by extreme leg weakness. Last night I was awoken from a dead sleep 4 times with the same symptoms and now today these episodes are occurring every 15 minutes and I am beginning to panic. Should I go to a Doctor? What could this be?

Dear User ,

Thanks for Asking , Really sorry for What has happened .

Usually Low back pain radiating to upper legs indicate Sciatica or it can be a Spinal Vertebral Disc Related issues like herniation of disc . Since you complain of severe symptoms and even leg weakness. Please as soon as possible meet an orthopaedician.
You might need an MRI -spine and further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your Question.

Wishing you a speedy recovery

Regards
Dr.Samuel
