Sharp pain lower back region with pain moving to hip area suggestive of nerve root compression . This is associated with disc prolapse that compresses nerve.any compression over nerve must be relieved as soon as possible . Or this may permanently damage that nerve.you immediately consult a orthopaedic surgeon . He will advise MRI of your lower back to assess extent of nerve root compression and further management .
