What Causes Pain In Lower Back?
I have been to the doctor for pains in my lower right side I have had for about 4 weeks, I have an appointment for next Monday for ultrasound , I don t know If I can make it that long , my symptoms are cramping and having pains now in back not sure if pain is back or front some times, but it is uncomfortable all the time , im feeling like its in the area of my cramping in my menstrual cycle but I haven t had a cycle for 4 months or so im pre menopausal im 50, do u think I should go to emerg as im scared its an appendicitis I almost lost my dad with ruptured one few years back,

well a pain of such long duration of 4 weeks cant be due to appendicitis in most probabilities because pain of appendix pathology is very severe n its hard for any person to run through 4 weeks duration with such severe pain..
it can either be due to some spinal pathology like disc prolapse or can be due to some pathology of kidneys n urinary tract...
you should get an ULTRASOUND OF KUB/UTERUS/ADNEXA and a XRAY OF LOWER BACK i.e LUMBO-SACRAL SPINE and then you can either send us a scanned copy of your reports or can consult a physician n orthopedician to evaluate your reports n prescribe you the approppriate treatment
