What Causes Pain In Lower Left Back While Taking Deep Breaths?

My daughter is experiencing pain on her left lower back (near her ribs). It s especially painful when she takes a deep breath, but hurts just to breathe normally. Is there something I can give her to make her comfortable before I can get her in to the doctor tomorrow? She is 15 and in great health otherwise. No injuries to report either.

Get herself examined by local doctor.
Is there associated cough, ?
It might be muscle spasm, other possibility is Pleurisy
can present with similar symptoms.
