What Causes Pain In Lower Left Side Of Labia Majora?
Hello! I am experiencing pain on the lower left side of my labia majora. There appears to be no swelling or discharge or any other symptoms. It has been hurting for the past few hours, and I do not know the cause of it! I thought maybe my underwear was too tight, but I took them off and it still hurts. It is only on the left side, not the right. What do you think might be the cause of this, and how would I reduce the pain?
You are experiencing pain in the lower left side of labia majora. It can be due to inflammation caused by infection during shaving, ingrown hair or yeast infection. Take care of your hygiene and on the area affected apply Soframycin cream for relief. Neomycin cream also works well. Take acetaminophen (Tylenol), to reduce pain and inflammation. Do not touch or scratch. If sexually active, avoid sex for a couple of days. Chronic yeast infections and bacterial infections can both cause pain that ranges from mild discomfort and itching to severe burning.
Viral and bacterial infections, such as bacterial vaginosis and the herpes simplex virus, can also cause vulvar pain or discomfort. Bartholin cyst is another medical condition that may cause similar symptoms. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist so that pathology can be detected and treatment started at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
