General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are having pain in the lumber region that is radiating downwards to the back of the knee. You also have history of multiple surgeries in the past. You have not mentioned the surgeries you went through. However, your symptoms may be indicative of sciatica, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis of the spine, herniated disc, etc.

You are suggested to get connected to a physical therapist. Do gentle stretch exercises that patients do to help alleviate back pain and strengthen muscles. Using alternately cold and warm compression on the area affected also gives relieve from pain and discomfort. Get clinically examined by a GP / orthopedics, get all required tests and investigations done. You will be accordingly treated with spinal injections or surgery if required. In the meantime, you can take NSAIDS, one SOS when required.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
