What Causes Pain In Lower Right Abdomen With Normal Ultrasound?
my wife has severe pain for the past 3-4 months in her lower right abdomen. we have visited the emergency room 5-6 times with the same results. they have done ultra sound, ct scan, labs, urine test.. etc. no elevated white cell count, no inflammation anywhere, not pregnant. nothing but found a small stone in her appendix. They say the small apendix is the source of the pain. each time they have sent her home and gave her norco 5mg and zofran

As there can be many causes in lower abdomen,e.g..ectopic pregnancy,infection (pelvic inflammatory disease),ovarian cyst,constipation etc
But as you already know that there is stone in appendix so it is most probably the cause.The medicines which are given to your wife are pain relieving and anti vomitingMy opinion would be that you should follow your doctor ,and with that if you notice increased pain (not bearable),or swinging fever and tenderness in abdomen ,these are the signs of abscess in appendix,for that you should immediatly consult your doctor and general surgeon.

1.The symptoms history and findings suggest most possible cause could be due to the appendicular calculus.
2.The next possible cause could be due to irritable bowel syndrome - in which there are no much findings in the ultrasound.
3.If there is no findings in the CT also, the mostly it is irritable bowel cause.
4.May the medical condition are not suggested to operate - as it was not operated. There might be no findings of infection / inflammation at the appendix site.
5.At the same time suggest to change the diet in to normal, avoid any junk,spicy,fat containing food - take more of fruits and salads, more of fibrous diet for better bowel moment.
