What Causes Pain In Middle Of Spine?

I have a pain in the middle of my spine. I don t really notice it until I lay down, then it is extremely difficult to get comfortable because it hurts to have anything touch that area of my spine. Even laying on my side irritates it. The closest way I can describe it is a bubble directly in the middle of my thoracic spine. This has been going on for a while, I have just been trying to deal with it, but it is getting unbearable. Any ideas?
