What Causes Pain In Navel And Lower Abdomen Post Hysterectomy?

Hi. I am a week post op. I had a vaginal hysterectomy, no complications. But I began having belly button and lower pelvic pain. I was told to use a warm compress on my belly from my dr. I did, with no help. Now Im reading that warm/hot compress is not good post op. Is this true? did I mess something up?

I appreciate your health concerns...
It is common to have pain in post operative period. You should not be worried about it. Warm compresses generally not going to help you much. You need to continue with your medicines. Try to walk around..
