Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In Neck Radiating Down The Spine And Tingling Fingers?
I have had pain in my neck...and have what the Dr. thinks is Carpal tunnel...fingers tingling...sometimes severe jabbing pain in the hands..Xray shows problems with discs in neck...am waiting (and waiting) for a CAT scan. Now have some discomfort radiating down my spine.
I have read your complaints. You do not have a carpal tunnel problem. The problem you hove is related to the cervical spine and the spinal cord and nerves. If the x-ray is showing a problem, the CT scan will show it better. But I will also suggest an MRI scan for a complete evaluation of the spine. Mri will show the cord nerves and othr soft tissues around the spine in great detail which is not seen on a CT scan. Further line of treatment can be decided only after that report. By the time you can definitely take some analgesi medicine for pain relief.
