What Causes Pain In Out Side Of The Foot Upon Walking?

HI I am having pain on the outside of my left foot. It hurts to walk on it. It has hurt since last week, i am not sure if it was an injury from when i was running on hard ground or hockey. i never got hit at hockey but by end of the game i could hardly walk on it. Sometimes the pain is ok where i can just feel it the other times it really sore and i can hardly walk on it. It does not hurt for me to touch the foot it is only when walking on it

Hello and welcome.

It could be an injury from either of the physical activities or both. I would first recommend an X-ray of the foot to look for possible injuries to the bone. If fractures are ruled out then we can suspect injuries to the tendons, ligaments, etc.

For now, you can go about the RICE protocol that includes rest, ice application, compression using an elastic bandage and elevation of your leg to the level of your heart if possible.

Best wishes.
