What Causes Pain In Rib While Taking Deep Breath With History Of Injury?

hi last year I slammed my right side on a wooden rock wall in September in October I had right rib contusion my question is can the pain come back with just laughing I have been good until last night and when I take in a deep breath on m right side I get a lot of pain

Hello welcome to HCM. Due to accident if there is rib injury-then pain will be there. If it was mild, there could be hair line fracture of ribs. if its sever type of fracture then there could have been associated breathing problem.You say pain has relieved and you were absolutely fine.Take one plain X-ray to see any persistent rib fracture or lung infections.If it is related to ribs, then go to orthopaedician or any problem with lungs please take an appointment with physician. Other causes also should be ruled out like stones in gallbladder which will show pains just like delivery pains(cramp). Here stones will be obstructing the duct. Please get one plain abdominal scan through which you will come to know what has happened. Then take appointement with a surgeon for further treatement. He will guide you. Take care.
