What Causes Pain In Ribs, Back And Stomach Along With Difficulty Breathing?
I have high pain tolerance, but the last three mornings I woke with severe body pain in upper body- ribs, back and stomach. difficult to breathe. However, I took pepto bismol last yesterday and my symptoms went away within minutes. Any sugguestions, thoughts?
Pain in ribs, back and stomach along with difficulty breathing is commonly due to acid reflux, muscle pain, costochondritis, rib fracture, etc. You are suggested to take antacids and PPIs for relief. Avoid constipation. Take laxatives at bed time. Drink plenty of water. You can take acetaminophen to ease discomfort. Take food in time. Avoid spicy oily, dairy products and full fat milk, etc. Stay away from addictions if any.
Stomach pain when breathing can be indicative of hiatal hernia, pleurisy, or acid reflux. Pain while breathing can also indicate a medical emergency. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get imaging tests and other required investigations done. You will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
