What Causes Pain In Right Abdomen And Burning Sensation In Stomach Every Morning?
I wake every night with pain in my right abdomen , burning in my stomach , it used to be if I lay on my back, now it burns even on my side. It eases off a little when I get up, but doesn t leave completely It started aprox 3 months ago. I m a senior not over weight.
i would advice you to have following examinations: 1. liver function test 2. urea breath test 3. if you have observed black stool, then upper GI endoscopy is also recommended
meanwhile, you may take nexium or any OTC proton pump inhibitor to combat the burning symptom avoid spicy food and decrease salt intake avoid alcohol ( if alcoholic)
you may post test results here or visit treating physician
wish you good and sound health
regards Dr Tayyab Malik
