Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In Right Abdomen And Burning Sensation?
I have been having side pain to the right of my belly button for over a year and half. It feels like a burning gnawing sensation and sometimes wraps around to my back. Its I d constant and flares up really bad sometimes. I also have a strong heartbeat or pulse right under my sternum. I have had an appendectomy so it s not my appendix.
Regarding your concern, I would explain that it is necessary consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests: - An abdominal ultrasound - Kidney and liver function tests - Amylase and lipase plasma levels - Complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation - A stool analysis for fungal infection or helicobacter pylori.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
