What Causes Pain In Right Calf And A Painful Lump Behind Right Calf?
I spent 4 hours driving to work yesterday, when I got there I spent another 2 hours sitting, then I drove 4 hours home. My legs were sore for about an hour, then when I went to bed I felt a pain in my right calf and thought it was going to cramp. When I woke up this morning I noticed I have a painful lump at the back of my right calf and it s tender to touch. It doesn t hurt to stretch it out and once I m up walking it doesn t hurt. However, I have spent most of today sitting in front of a computer and both calves are aching.
Very likely this is a muscular pain as both of your calves are aching after a long drive. Try to take paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with the pain and while you work in the computer get up every 20-30 minutes and walk around to help the blood circulate well. If you are not better or if you notice any swelling in the legs please see your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
