What Causes Pain In Right Lower Quadrant Of Pelvic Region?

Hi.
I have had a few "flare ups" since January. In January I had for the first time severe pain in my right lower quadrant in the lower pelvic region. I never experienced anything like it before but it went away after a couple weeks. I had another flare up in June. But this time I had strong urgency as well as frequent urination. Also my pelvic region was very sensitive to the touch and the burning sensation lasted three or so weeks. I went to the ER they did an ultrasound. It revealed no cysts but also a heavily heterogenous myometrium. I was referred to a gyno but he did not do any other testing. For the past 15 days I've had another flare up. The burning is intense on the right side and I've been urinating 40-60 times a day. I've also noticed since January sporadic transparent vaginal discharge with specs of blood in it. Which I've never had before. My periods have always been painful and very heavy. I would like some advice on what I should do bc I know something's up and I haven't received any determinate answer as to what

Dear patient,
yours appears to be a case of what is called endometriosis i.e. having endometrium at places other than the uterus. in such cases, in each menstrual cycle, just like uterine, even the ectopic endometrium bleeds. but doesnot cause trouble as minute amounts of blood get absorbed. but if bleeding is heavy it causes irritation and pain in pelvic regions. it is usually treated with regular oral contraceptive pills and laser ablation of faulty tissue in severe cases.
