What Causes Pain In Right Piriformis Area Causing Severe Weakness In Thighs?

I am experiencing pain in my right piriformis area and when I stand or sit my right front thigh gets intense pain with weakness. I am pain free when I lay flat. But my right quads are jumping when I am at rest. I have started anti inflammatories and bed rest. Should I seek medical help. I don t think there is anything more a medical doctor will do.

Hello,

Pain and pain in right piriformis area while sitting and standing is suggestive of muscular pain. Muscular pain can be due to strain or sprain. I suggest you to consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment and appropriate medication to relieve pain.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
